Here are some words about one of the biggest and oldest DM FC of the World. The members of The Hungarian Depeche Mode Fan Club laid the foundation down in September, 1987. The Hungarian DM FC has been running for 21 years now...
The Club has been organised more than 265 parties and welcomed more than 285.000 fans over the years. There is a party organised each month with the average attendance of 1.100 fans. The Hungarian DM FC is situated at the Petofi Hall, Budapest, Hungary.
The monthly programme usually consists of video-projection, slide-show and of course DM music till early in the morning. The members of the 'Announcement List' receive an information e-mail each and every action with the latest news on the Band and the FC activities. We have a 'Mobil Info' service, started a few years ago. The Club has its own Magazine (BANG) which is publishing almost every avtive year. One of the FC specialities is organising trips for its members to see Depeche Mode in concert abroad. We have virtually followed the Band on each and every tour since 1988. In the past, the FC has also participated in organising concerts such as Nitzer Ebb, Die Krupps, Laibach, Melotron, Elegant Machinery, And One, Inspiral Carpets, Renegade Soundwave, Miranda Sex Garden, Console, Conjure One and Moby. We have been twice honoured with visits from Daniel Miller and Andy Fletcher.
Our Internet site is 7 yrs old now, and we have been reached by more than 1,1 million users from more than 75 different countries.
Our mailing list members reached 1.950, while the Mobile Info service has more than 600 fans.

1987 > We laid the foundation down...
1990 > The Club organised a 36-hrs long party with the capacity
audience of 6.000. Kind of a World Record at that time!
1991 > A 3-days long fan-camp called 'Black Days'. The first international
convention!
1995 > An unique birthday party of Depeche Mode. To celebrate the
fact of 15 years on the road. A party called 'Little 15'- attendance
2.500!
1995 > European Fan Convention co-organised by The Official Fan
Club: BONG!
1996 > Regional Fan Convention to celebrate the survival of 'The
Cat'!
1997 > 10th birthday of The Hungarian DM FC. A nice surprise: a
very own video message received from Depeche Mode. Dave Gahan thanked
the years of support for the Hungarian fans... in Hungarian language!
1999 > Another unique birthday party of Depeche Mode. To celebrate
'The First 20 Years...'- attendance 1.500!
2001 > European Fan Convention co-organised by The Official Fan
Club: BONG!
2002 > 15th birthday of The Hungarian DM FC. End of year party with
the attendance over 1.800!
2003 > Another nice surprise: a very own video message received
from Martin L. Gore. Martin greeted the Hungarian fans! The Club
launch its first 'depeche MODE truck' on Budapest Parade'03.
2005 > Special chain of events, called 'DM > The Retrospective Collection 1980>2005'. To celebrate the fact of 25 years on the road - very unique birthday party series of Depeche Mode.
2005 > Unique video message received from the Band. Also honoured with a platinum disc of 'Playing The Angel' at the end of year party in front of 1.700 fans.
2006 > We celebrated the end of year party, titled as 'The Very Best Of...'
with more than 2.100 fans.
2007 > 20th birthday of The Hungarian DM FC with spinmaster Andy 'Fletchy' Fletcher behind the wheel.
2007 > We celebrated the end of year party, titled as 'The Very Best Of... - Vol.2' with more than 1.700 fans.
2008/09 > Another special chain of events, called 'Classic MODE Series'. Our members vote for the best musical moments of the band each and every period.
That's how we bear the pain and suffering in Hungary!
